So, a few years ago my best friend and I went to Guntersville State Park in Alabama for my family reunion. There's a little cemetery not far that we often visit, and my best friend (who had never been to Alabama before) hadn't been there yet. My cousin and I decided to take her up there. On our way, though, my cousin noticed that there was an enormous fly in my hair. Of course, I scream and freak out, demanding someone get a stick and whack it out. My cousin manages to get it out, but it then ends up on her jacket. No joke, this fly was literally the size of a half-dollar. It was HUGE. After a flurry of 'OHMYGODGETITOFF's, we smack it off of her jacket. Of course, then it has to land on my best friend. At this point we're all convinced that the fly is attacking us and are, therefore, terrified. It flies away from her and back to me where it lands on the back of my thigh and bites THROUGH my jeans. I scream and start running back down the road with the others at my back, running just as scared as me.

Cheyenne's tail has been attacked, once again, by the carnivorous flies that infest our backyard every year. This time, they've cause all the fur around the middle of her tail to drop, leaving a big, bloodied space for them to feed. I washed it off with peroxide and wrapped it in an ace bandage.

I'm going to buy fly traps today. Enough is enough.
